The Maui News, in writing of the 1997 Hui No'eau Juried Show, said, "Janet Davis does wonderful modern primitive work, full of charm and personal imagery made symbolic with a stunning delivery." Her work in oils and monotypes has been described as a proliferation of colorful landscapes and dreamscapes with a delightful child-like charm evoking energy, joy and substance. Janet's work has been purchased by the Hawaii State Foundation on Culture and the Arts and Feeding the Green Goose was chosen as the poster and publicity image for the 20th Annual Art Maui in 1998.
