Titled ‘Summer Holoholo’, the upcoming exhibit of artwork from Suzy Papanikolas and Todd Campbell, evokes the true spirit behind their creations: Holoholo translates as ‘travels’ and these artists are definitely on a journey of experience and expression as they explore the essence of beauty throughout the islands.
Beginning July 29th, with an Opening Reception on Saturday, August 1st at 5:00, the artists will be showcasing their latest artwork at Viewpoints Gallery, with creations inspired by their travels: One is moved by the culture, the other by nature, and both by the intrinsic pulchritude of the islands.
Suzy Papanikolas is known for her depiction of the living cultural history of the islands with her figurative depictions of Hawaiian and Polynesian festivities, crafts, and lore. Steeped in technical ability and artistic vision, she concentrates her efforts in bringing honor and respect to these vibrant and vital societies by creating paintings that record the great renaissance these cultures are currently enjoying.

Using exotic woods, he reveals the inner beauty of the organic material with the eye and hand of a master.
