For the 4th of July Makawao Paint-out Invitational, a group of 21 of the most prestigious Plein Air Painters on Maui went on a quest to capture the essence of the island in a series of Upcountry moments:  a taste of Tedeschi Winery;  sunset at Ali’i Kula Lavender Farm; the beauty of an upcountry artist’s private garden; sunrise at the summit of Haleakala;  breakfast with the artists at Grandma’s Coffee Shop... and more.  Some great works were created during the Paint-out and shown for such a short amount of time that Viewpoints decided to have a special showing of the best of it.  A selection of new and previously unseen works will be on display as well.
