The theme of the seasons is popular to all artists and poets from all over the world. Inspired by a Bodhi Leaf painted with a sitting Buddha which I found at the Botanical Gardens of Sri Lanka, this painting takes this theme to a more spiritual landscape. Conceived in layers of feelings with trial and errors, I was amazed to see that I needed everything I had worked on to create the complete image. A collage using handmade papers by Millie Watanabe.

Colors are like honey to my eyes and it was a rare delicacy to learn more about their interaction through the Alber's course taught by Dick Nelson. Truly an enlightening experience which I recommend to any artist!

This piece was created for a show dedicated to the art or Tai Chi. The idea is to be centered and connected both to the earth and sky.
