“On a 10” cradled birch wood I have applied 4 layers of absorbent
chalk ground (calcium carbonate- rabbit skin glue- titanium)
with sanding between each coat.
I used hide glue watercolor pigments…
Finally, I attached the aluminum ‘calling card’.
In this time of Pandemic, including the loss of a dear friend
and my brother (neither from the virus),
my normally secluded life sank deeper
into a very inward journey.
Examining again the issues of my own mortality.
